Apple, the sinking ship.
« on: June 27, 2013, 12:30:02 am »
Shares under 400 dollars now, previous high was 700 dollars a share.

If the next reveal isn't a good one I think it's safe to say apple wont be reaching those dizzy heights again.
They seem to be going the way of RIM and Nokia.

I'd hope not  they ain't going up anytime soon! I sold just before they peaked  :star: won't be buying again unless they start to innovate more than just design.

Not offending me.... just dont know why you seem to get your g-string in a twist over share prices (which I presume you have no actual financial interest in)

I still like Apple stuff, but they aren't a step ahead of the competition anymore, and I guess the share prices reflect that.

I would've fancied buying some Apple shares in 1976  or perhaps just before the iPod was released; 2000?

One shouldn't presume.

And hardly got my knickers in a twist, I was just looking to generate some discussion on the topic which others seemed to have managed just fine.

I know a few people who bought at 450 a share but I don't think that was wise.
Like you say unless they come out with something innovative soon the shares will continue their downward trend.

Some analysts are hoping for prices to rise back to 500 a share but we'll see come
Autumn when they next round of products are revealed.

At the last reveal the shares actually took a hit again downwards as investors expected more. The iPhone 5s won't cut it, what apple needs is the 6, and for the 6 to be head and shoulders above the competition.

And as apple have never pushed on hardware, always bringing out tech behind the curve I hope that's where they innovate.

They are obviously going to bring out a larger screen iPhone and a iPad mini with retina and ipad3/4 internals.

The iphone 5 is big enough, I would not buy anything larger than that, its a phone, not a tablet!

Ive always said that, but ive had the 5 since the release day and i think it could do with being a little larger, edge to edge would be nice, maybe an extra inch in screen size without increasing the size of the phone too much.

I am a bit of an apple fan boy, but i feel they are behind the other phone companies when it comes to what they can do, although i believe alot of it is due to the software being so restrictive. iOS 7 looks like a jump in the right direction, but im sure itll still be far to limiting!

I never see them sinking and disapearing as they are very innovative, they just choose to not release their best stuff for some reason :stupid:

+1 to this. I tried using an S3 and it just felt big and cumbersome. Also uncomfortable in the pocket.

your in the minority with that opinion. Most people want a larger screen.

After using my s3, using an iphone is like going back in time
