Low Oil Pressure

Hello,

I have a MK5 GTi which seems to be struggling with this issue, it has been going on for about 2 months and Im now getting fed up.

Engine code is AXX, and so far this has been done...

Loba motorsport replacement oil pump
new oil sensor
and the oil has been replaced.

It seems to flag up as an issue on hot days, after driving for a while, and im really concerned as to whats next.

The car has been oil pressure tested and all came back perfect, it holds the correct temp. aswell.

is it just a case that it needs a TechII to remove the error code? or is my car just f@£%ed

any advice would be great as its starting to depress me..

Seems to be common for the oil strainer to choke!

Thanks for the reply, that's where we started.

Oil strainer replaced, literally done everything mechanical that's possible

Just stuck for ideas now before taking it VW

Did you replace the oil pressure sender?

Sender or sensor? Sensor has been replaced

Oil pressure test came back fine.. Just so confused

Never tried but you should be able to test both the oil pressure switch and level sensor in measuring blocks with VCDS tool other than that one would physically have to check the wiring for chaffing.

If you have checked the physical oil pressure then it would point to being a wiring fault, if you have replaced everything else.

xjay1337 now ive had the car 3 years, and no electrical faults ever. have this one issue with pump and now its all kicking off, is it a case that maybe the sensor is not connected correct?

or we talking deeper electrical fault?

I said a wiring fault.
Specifically (and clearly in the context of the thread) something to do with the wiring of the oil pressure sensor/switch etc?

okay XJAY1337, I have booked it into a mechanic to sort now. hopefully be done with Wednesday or a 300bhp golf is going up for sale.
