Had the following set up on both my FR TDI and Cupra R

Forge shortshifter - set on shortest
Forge sideshifter - not worth the money but on shortest
42DD bushes - excellent mod
AKS Tuning bushes - alex threw these one  :congrats: made a difference aswell


i love how mechanical it feels now

Where are the bushes fitted? what improvement do they make?

you will have to ask Alex, i wasnt there when he fitted them, they go on the gearbox i think though. TFSIMike has got them also  :happy2:

They're at the end of the linkages where they connect to the shifter plate thingys. OE are plastic/rubber and the 42dd ones are brass/aluminium (I think). Gives a nice direct mechanical feel.

Its not them ones as i already have them, the AKS ones are some extra ones

Black 2007 gti, 18' monza 2, sat-nav, highline, i-pod dock, armrest, 35mm H&R springs, WALK, BCS tbe, autotech front and rear arbs, ITG maxogen, NQSBBK... and more to come

No Russ-The after market ones are a lot shorter knacking in gear changes but I find the tt/s3 one just right for me

Am I right in thinking that once a short shift has been fitted, it takes more force to get into gear as the pivot point has shortened??
