I've never been a lover of "telephone dial" style wheels

Never heard them called that before.  :signLOL:

....They've been called that for a while - A very good description. Not seen the term on this forum before though.

You not coming to The Ring this time, TC? Not tempted to take your car?

Yes, I was a bit sceptical about the Monzas being stolen; but there again, would their second hand value be greater than new replica R32 items?

Are your LM rims genuine BBS items Topcat?

Thanks for the complimentary comments on the pic guys.

I'll get my daughter to take a few more snaps at the weekend (she's a photography nut) so you can see it from other angles.

I would define a telephone dial style as being anything with circles within a circle just like the wheels on the escort or Monzas. As previously mentioned, they're common on Alfas.

The Monzas are often said to have an axe head pattern too. I have a good friend with a MkV GTI (driving his made me buy one too!!) who says that when he gets abused by other drivers, he imagines them being "chopped" by the axe heads on his wheels and it makes him feel better!!! Maybe he's been watching too many horror movies

Welcome alond dude. With regards to whether the dealer would get more for the monza 2's and make a profit on the reps I'd say chances are very likely (all depending upon the condition of course). But if your happy with it who gives a hell?

Enjoy. Luke

Cheers for the additional welcomes.

Yes I preferred the R32 reps to Monzas so I was happy when I bought the car.

But after being a member here for just over a week, I'm starting to have other ideas. This board is so addictive!

BTW, did anyone notice the little lad in the back of the Escort peeping out - very cute.
