Plastidip anyone?
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:45:41 am »
Anyone plastidipped their wheels yet?  I was thinking of doing mine in matt black with a gloss finish.  Any feedback on the product would be grateful. Thanks  :happy2:

Seen a few and on large areas the finish looks sh*t. Either paint or powder coat or WTP (water transfer printing) is your best bet. Only benefit to plastidip is that its cheap, good for track wheels if your doing them a bonkers colour though.

I think he means because the black only comes in a matt finish but plastidip do a lacquer to go over with if you want gloss.

I've used it for a few bits and pieces, personally I wouldn't do wheels as I wouldn't be happy with the finish, done badges, small pieces of trims, mirror caps and the lower half of my A4 Avant rear bumper.
