Hi All,

Sadly a pillock decided it would be a great idea to drive into my passengers side door, pushing it open and way past the maximum point. It's damaged the drivers side door, the mounting and the front wing! Devastated. Seething etc.

Notice that the door has dropped significantly:

I've managed to get the door shut by loosening the bolts inside, but i need to restore her to her former glory.

Where should i take it? Looking around the north London, west London (out near Heathrow) area.

Also, according to my insurance i will only be able to do a 50/50, so i'm considering sourcing another door from a breakers (unless anyone happens to have one i can purchase?)

Thanks guys :(

So, i've tracked down a perfect door from a MK5 GTI in the same colour, does anyone know what the differences are between this and the ed30 door? I guess just the door insert?

I'm wondering what to expect in terms of work required to swap out the bits.

Thanks again, she looks so sad!
