Hi All
I'm new to the forum and recently brought a late 2006 GTI. I have a mfd2 stereo with an arm rest which includes a dock for an ipod. This is all original fit. Reading the instructions I can not just put my ipod touch gen 1 ( Yes I know its old but then it wouldn't matter if I had it stolen ) should it work? The thing is that I have also got a parrot fitted in the car so I'm not sure would that take the port used for the Ipod ? I don't really want to take the car apart to find out unless I have too.
Also can I buy a cable that fits in the ipod dock and then changes it to a usb drive as this would be a lot easier for me. Having to listern to CD's instead of a Ipod or usb drive is driving me crazy as in my previous car I had a usb drive built into the stereo.
Any help here I would be really grateful. I have read so much information looking into this over the last few days but I have not been able to get the questions I need answering answered :(
