Well done Andy.  :notworthy:

I'm far from a Tennis fan but really enjoyed it, even got a little nervous for the lad towards the end. My Wifey was in tears. Told her to get a grip and carry on making my dinner!

Nice to see another home triumph (after the Lions rugby yesterday).  How Murray & Djokovic managed to play to that level in today's heat, I'm not sure!  :congrats: :notworthy:

He's still a miserable git though... The win seemed almost a bit like an anticlimax for him.

Yeh he was at Dunblane. I remember the day as I was also at school 15 miles away and recall the horror on teachers faces  :sad1:

I am really, really happy he has won today.
He has done tremendously well. Tennis isn't my sport but you have to recognise true world class talent for what it is.
Now he has that intense pressure off his back, he should be able to relax and win a few more trophies.

Bit boring now hearing he is 'miserable', what else could he have done?? He jumped into the crowd to see family, never refused a signature or handshake, had the crowd laughing when on the mic.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

You always get haters, mainly from ppl who have no sporting achievements... well done Andy it's been a slog and fought tooth and nail for that. :congrats:

I'd be miserable if I only won £1,600,000 for playing a bit of tennis...

I think hes just very committed in what he does. Not everyone needs to be really loud and brash. He was very happy and smiled plenty

If Twitter is to be believed, he's donated the whole £1.6m to the cancer research and care at the Royal Marsden Hospital.

He was in Dunblane. This was an article published the other week about him, talking about the Dunblane tragedy as part of the BBC documentary series about him: (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/23024384 )

Congratulations to the man. I guess Murray will finally be described as British for the next 12 months.

I believe the donation of his winnings is just a Twitter rumour.
