^^ on 17's the TD's are 8.2 kg the OZ ultra's are 7.4kg and the Alleggerita's just under 7kg. Weight loss is like power gains the first kg's are relatively cheap there after the price per kg saved goes up quite significantly.

Just to complete the info (which I'll repeat when I do my review) : -

On 8x18's, the TD's are 8.98 kg, the OZ Ultra's are 8.00 kg, and the Alleggerita's are TBC but closer to 7.4 kg.

For comparison, the genuine BBS Monza 18's are about 12 kg.

Dont know how available the Alleggritas are to the Ultraleggeras but i ordered them on tuesday, were delivered on wednesday and fitted on thursday!  Overall very happy with the alloys just the car needs abit of lowering.



Car has put such a smile on my face, dont think pics do it justice though!!

....The Alleggerita's are OZ's latest offering and it seems that stocks are relatively low. I think the coloured versions are only made when ordered but I don't know this for certain - Just hearsay.

I should know early this coming week when I can realistically expect my LeggyRita's - I'm obviously hoping to have them in time for The Ring trip on 1st October.

The wheels in the first post aren't Oz Alleggerita.
They are 17" TR MT1 from tire rack in the USA.
I should know, I have a set with Toyota proxes R888 on them for track days.
Made in Japan, nice and light compared to my stock pirelli wheels.

For the anal amongst us, the Spoke profile on the oz wheels is a bit more curved/complex toward the rim.
This adds a step which IMO makes the oz look a bit smaller.

I considered the oz as my daily wheel but as they were so similar to my track wheels I have opted for some Works out of Japan (should be comin out of the factory soon)

I've gone for a set of bronze emotion xt7 in 18x8.5 et45 to get them nice and flush... They will be mid taper so have some nice curve on the 7 spokes.
On the work site they're very 'japanese' looking (at home on Sti / Evo), but there's a pic that I'll dig out of a red gti that pushed me over the edge.
I'm posting on my phone right (2am in bed insomnia ;) ) now so will try to get the pic tomorrow at work.
My car is blue graphite, so should be an out of the ordinary combo that won't be to everyone taste :)

Yep, the pics on the red car are the TR MT1.
look closely at the curve on the spoke near the rim.

Tiny difference, but the oz spoke almost ends before the rim starts, but the TR spokes run up to the rim with a shallower curve.
Centre cap on the TR is flat, the Oz cap sits a bit more proud.
I believe the car posted is Meat's from golfmkv - if that is true then they are definitely not the oz.

....Cheers, tinto! Yes, it's Meatstick's car. It Google'd as Alleggerita's. The pics at that distance still give a good impression of what the OZ's will look like on a red GTI I think.
