you're right - the high taper is for skylines etc.
They are a custom order so will have the correct centre bore, lugbolt pattern and bolt seat to suit the mkv, but in mid taper.

Don't worry about the threadjack, guys - It's simply the nature of discussion. I would only start a separate thread if you want to discuss something specific about the Work rims to attract more discussion, such as when the Work rims are on your car or for questions about them.

Meanwhile, OZ's Italian factory has been contacted and I am expecting delivery week 38 (mid-September) - In time for my Nordschleife trip.

OZ in Italy have today confirmed my LeggyRita's are finished and about to be shipped. Let's hope the feckin' UK Customs don't hold them up.

I'm standing by with some Zaino and my VW dealer is ready to fit me in whichever day I want so I make my Ring trip in time.

I'm all excited now!

A mate of mine has some digital scales which are regularly calibrated because they are used in fishing competitions. We weighed one of my Monza 17's yesterday (without tyre) = 11.16 kg (~24.6 lbs).

The same scales are ready and waiting for the Leggy's and also my Monza 18's.

....I was surprised too but we weighed it several times (by suspension hook method as if a big wet fish). I'll report my Monza 18 weight etc when done, probably next week.

when you weigh your 18 monza could you please PM me the weight?

So, you look at at least 3kg saving per wheel

Possibly looking at nearer 4 kg saving than 3 kg - We'll see.

Good stuff, they are a purposeful looking wheel.
They look very similar to what the aussie v8 supercars are running nowdays.

Those wheels on the Aussie pic might even be made by OZ - They manufacture for motorsport including F1.

Supposed to improve brake cooling too - Not that I have that problem.

Yours look similar (sig pic) but I see they have 10 spokes and the Alleggerita's have 9.

with al the money spent on saving money on the wheels, it might be worthwhile finding out different tyre weights(of similar spec and perfomance tyres). which is heaviest of the top tyre brands.

if your going down that route you may as well go the full hog.

....But then by the same full hog logic I ought to be doing a 'jonnyc' regarding reducing weight everywhere possible.

I doubt if there would be significant tyre weight differences to justify tyre performance differences. In other words, I wouldn't want to compromise tyre tread. Goodyear F1 Assymetrics are a great road tyre and good enough for a few occasional laps of the Nordschleife etc. I'll see how they fare on the Ring trip in a couple of weeks.

I bought these Alleggerita's for what a lighter weight wheel will do to the driving feedback and responses. The approximate weight differential of 8:12 (Alleggerita:Monza) is sufficient for my purposes.

If I don't like them I'll take a hit and sell them.
