How often does the AC need re gassed !

I was wondering how often you guys usually need to re gas your AC, mines is blowing hot air at the moment
Also how much does it cost from vw roughly ?

Around £50 at most car place's such as Kwikfit as i'm sure VW might be double that,mine need's doing too!

Find an aircon specialist, you'll find they are cheaper than KwikFit types and will actually do a proper service/vacuum.

I got mine done recently at a local VAG specialist, it was £40.

Dealers charge 29.00 for an air con refresh and 79.00 for an air con service.

Kwik fit lulz.  :stupid:

Basically refresh is an aircon bomb inside and  a service is a check of gas in system ..tends to be topped up ...if your lucky they will recover complete ..vac it down and then recharge it with a mixture of your old gas and there new gas ...with a sqiurt of pag 100 oil and jobs a good un ...I find every 3-4 years is worth a check ...sooner if you very rarely use aircon as oil will settle in lowest part of system and seals will go dry and leak

Thought all aircon systems  automatically  worked even when off, for the issue you mentioned (oil seals) just at low percentage value?

The problem is all systems leak ...I'm only talking of a very small amount thats why after a few years the system needs a top up ....if they built the system like your house hold fridge it would remain sealed for years lol

Cool air con re gas and service it's Is and ill enquire about what what this entails eg if I get the lube oil squirt and vac !
Mines deffo needs done Ive got every recipt from new and no air con work has been carried out so its service time.
