Sound Quality
« on: July 14, 2013, 10:30:04 pm »
Hi all,

I'm thinking of swapping my RCD 500 for a RCD 510 and am just interested to know if there is a big improvement in sound quality without having to change the speakers too. It in a 2005 GTI.

I want it to be a bit deeper and fuller than just now.  I find the standard kit distorts a bit.

Yep you'll need to upgrade the speaker's to get any decent quality.

I agree, I found the sound was far better, but I do have the Vw amp and 10 speakers, not sure how much difference that makes

Thanks for your answers. I'm not going to bother with the DAB version, I had it in a hire car the other day and it just wouldn't hold a signal. Just need to be brave now and part with the £££'s!
