Hi Guys, New Gti DSG member from Battle
« on: June 03, 2013, 04:22:37 pm »
Hi Peeps,

Picked up my first Mk5 a week and a half ago.
2005 3dr in la7t United grey with check cloth, rear pdc, auto lights, auto wipers, puddle lights, rear pdc, vw ipod control.
Have to say really impressed with it.
Just going through a small list of things to get done, have been refurbing all 4 wheels as its obviously been touch parked by the previous owner!.

Hope to maybe see some of you around.

Cheers Pete

Bit of an update

Refurbished my wheels myself with new genuine VW centre caps,
Given it a proper service.
New VW dump valve as original had split diaphram.
New rear brakes as the originals were shagged.
Fixed passenger side electric window not operating, worked from the drivers door, pass switch not illuminating so teaced to poor connection in door.
Worst thing thats happened si the Air Con pump seized on me about 3 weeks ago so in the process of sorting that out, found a new Denso compressor and my AC chap is coming over Tuesday to vac the system out and see if any metal fragments have travelled any further, car was only at idle speed and it stalled the engine so im hoping its not spat its guts out through the condensor etc...

Going to France in it in 2 weeks so need to get that sorted!!!!

Cheers Pete.
