Glad to hear the issue is sorted now, & nice work from your local TPS depot! Must admit, the proper vagcom leads are well worth it - mine has helped me a number of times on my golfs.

After messing around in the engine bay I realised it needed a clean.  Covered all the major electric bits and went to work.  Happy with the results and the car even started up after

I really need to do mine.
Did you use a pressure washer on it Jim? Don't think I'm brave enough.

No pressure washer just a decent hose. After covering the major electrics and alternator then used degreaser and agitated it. Hosed off and dried well then used some dressing. Kept my fingers crossed and it started - have to be honest I don't like doing it cause there are so many nasty stories about people messing their cars up washing the engine bay  :scared: @AndyBrown

Think I'll just sponge the degreaser off, it's a bit intimidating for me letting a hose loose on it.

Problems inside the engine bay come from spraying various liquids on the electrical conectors (which are plenty) !

Iv had a small nagging issue with my colour clocks since they were installed where the handbrake on light was showing up as the bulb out warning due to the foils being different.  Not a major issue but annoyed the hell out of me - every time I put the handbrake on it looked like I had a bulb out and no handbrake on  :fighting:
All good now - never thought I'd be so happy to see the handbrake on light  :signLOL:

After reading good things about this stuff on the forum thought I'd give this stuff a go. For 20 notes its worth a go, put it in this morning and done nearly 150 miles already. Cant say I noticed any difference but all the miles were motorway so hard to tell at the moment

Nice work, but there's still not enough pics of your pornographic ED30 buckets...

My Dad has lent his camera to a friend so failed to get some decent pictures of the interior again  :sad1:

Got round to fitting a Unibrace

All fitted

I'm impressed how different the car feels already.  Not gone for a big drive or given it a proper try but certainly feels more together round the bends  :happy2:

Another impressive project! Congrats on the job done so far. For the look of it it's still far from being finished. :notworthy:

Used a full tank with the 44k in it and filled up again. Seem to be getting 2mpg more on the same daily journey so looks like it's done something. Not noticed any improvement in performance or starting though
