Got them from TPS. Drivers side only available in black so need to take apart, paint in plastidip grey then a few coats of plastidip smoke until matched colour

Fitted some rubber edging to intake as starting to rub a little and it was annoying me

I installed a Genuine GPS/GSM/FM/DAB antenna a while ago and was waiting for an eBay deal on an RNS510 DAB. One came up so grabbed it, bought a Bluetooth kit from Eddie-NL which meant doing this to my car to install it right - hate seeing the Ed like this!!



Bits to fit - custom loom for MDI,BT & Aux. As normal top notch stuff from Eddie



Aux fitted



BT module fitted



DAB works



Phone kit works



BT Audio works. I'm pleasantly surprised that the info displays through the RNS and I have control over next/previous track on the RNS as this was something that confused me when looking for kits. In the end I just went with Eddies advice and really happy   Also I have not had to mess around with any re wiring to get stereo - it was all good out the box

The bluetooth streaming is a great little feature. I think i may need a dab rns in the future.....

Probley a silly question but how do you know what to do lol like taking all the dash apart and fitting all the bits and gettin them work ??

Those Window blinds are a pretty cool additon. Not seen ones without a split rear before.

All info on this forum somewhere and a Haynes guide on standby! If it's a big job I tend to put screws etc back where I took them out of as I go so I don't forget where any go when reassembling

Dude what do you need to enable the BT streaming? The right module or is it part of an DAB RNS? I would love this in mine, previous owner fitted a Skoda BT module, is yours from a Mk6?

I'm sure it's all to do with the module, rns dab does  not have BT built in. Tbh when I was trying to research the kit I wanted I couldn't find a direct answer so trusted what Eddie-NL told me (never let me down yet!) I told him what id like and he sorted a kit out for me. I was proper surprised that the info came through my red mfd as from what i had read it would only display on white mfd. The kit I have is mid line so doesn't do text messaging but not fussed about that. My RNS was manufactured Feb 2014 so possibly that's why the streaming is stereo, can control on rns & multifunction wheel and displays on mfd? Also not had to code it - literally wired it in and all worked!

Been a while since I'v updated, been busy getting parts together for next stage so had nothing to install.  Got a deal for some S2T paddles from forum member biffobear (thanks for quick delivery mate  ) and installed them today. I hate airbag stuff so was very glad when I finally managed to get the airbag out. Then it was an easy swap over.

Phew - I still have my face and airbag in tact!


All done and back together


Definitely worth doing in my mind as the normal switches are a bit too small for me to confidently grab when needed.

My car is at the stage of where I want it to be in terms of technology and styling so now begins the slippery slope of handling, stopping and of course power. Want the power delivery sorted first then will do suspension, braking and finally power.  Got these bits already but need a few more small items before I can get it all fitted.
