The thing i find is when you change the wheels on a ED30 it makes it look like a replica of some sort

Thanks for the comments guys - keep them coming  :happy2:
I'm going to fit them for the full effect then see what's what. I do agree with the dangers of changing pescaras, maybe these Skoda wheels will be my winters?
Defo not selling the pescaras!!
Cheers Rob, my dials really do change the feel of the at and brings it up to date nicely  :happy2:

I prefer the Pescaras over those wheels, although they suit well the Skoda Octavia. Not so sure about the Eddie.

I think it's easier to like more Motorsport wheels (OZ, Team Dynamics, Neuspeed, etc.) or some from BBS, VMR and the likes that look good in almost all cars.

Lets see them fitted.

I love Pescaras tbh and think they suit the eddy down to the ground. That said, I think the new wheels will look awesome. You got them on yet?

Not on yet, cleaning and polishing them then gonna put some carbon collective sealer on them. I'm working today but plan to do it tomorrow - just couldn't resist offering them up last night  :signLOL:

I'm not planning to get rid of the Pescaras as I agree they look the business one car but mine need a little TLC so wanted another set of wheels while they are worked on. I got the Skoda wheels and tyres at an excellent price so if nothing else iv got my next set of tyres sorted  :happy2:
I'll put pics up when I fit them

Fitted the wheels properly today, took the opportunity to really clean the arches too. Used some Carbon Collective wheel sealer on the wheels as they are "as new" so future cleaning should be easier.  Im still working out the right centre caps to get for these wheels but I will get some fitted as soon as I figure it out.  I think MK4 R32 wheel centre caps will fit.

I think I dig these wheels but its clear I need to lower the car now

Any thoughts appreciated  - Good or Bad  :drinking:

I think the rims look really really nice. But then I also think it takes away from the original Ed30 look. When I saw it I said 'Really sexy Golf'

Thanks for the kind words mate  :happy2: I'm not getting rid of the Pescara's so they will be back when they have been refurbished - maybe - The more I look at the car the more I'm liking these wheels.  My ED30 has been messed with quite a lot so it will never look like an ED30 should to someone that knows their Golf's.  When I AWD it I'm not sure it'll technically be an ED30 anymore  :surprised:

I agree, and the wheels look great. With this: mind, I think you did just send my the Pescaras for safe keeping?

The carbon collective stuff is the muts nutd mate, got it on my calipers and they are still holding up like new nearly 6 minths on, had it on my old alloys as well and they laughed at winter roads! A jet wash once a week is all they really needed and normal shampoo if proper dirty

Its just a way of life.

I like those wheels and I agree that you need to lower the car a bit now.

If you want Eibach Sportlines for DSG, I'll be selling mine with 15.000 miles on them. I got H&R -30 mm instead because I want to fit Koni Sport dampers and was advised that they don't work well with Eibach Sportlines.

@dave(tm) LOL, I'll think I'll keep them cheers
@TForrest94  I'm really impressed with the carbon collective stuff in general - the wheels look like I'v just cleaned them still - so far so good

Iv got the right centre caps fitted now (MK4 R32 fit perfectly) so thought I'd share some pics.  Think the caps really make it look better, Im starting to think these wheels suit quite well but definitely needs lowering. @Shoduchi has got me seriously thinking about some sportlines

I like the wheels dude, question about the TT steering rack and hubs? my steering rack is on the way and I was wondering about the benefits?

@Jimmm  you've gone way back in my thread!  :happy2: End goal is big power and at the time my thoughts for the traction issues was to fit the TT hubs and wishbones. This adds track width that should help traction. The TT rack, as far as I know, feels the same as the golfs but the ends are like a hook instead of straight. This would allow the clearance needed for 9 inch width wheels. I have since changed plans and am going to put S3 running gear in my ED to make it 4WD and sold the old TT set up
