Got some Sportlines and fitted them yesterday.  Three went without a problem but the last front one was a pig

Rears Fitted

Got careless with a hammer on the front passenger side persuading the strut out and mashed the brake hose so bad it split  :scared:

Emergency trip to Awesome GTi was needed as they had in stock a new set - only one they had so now I have front and rear steel brake lines  :innocent:

Front finally fitted

Just off the lift and not settled

After a few miles car has settled a bit

Think I need to put some spacers on the wheels now, maybe 5mm??  :signLOL:

5 mm is the minimum. 8 mm should be fine as well. I have 8" wide wheels with ET45 and no rubbing. :happy2:

I hope you'll like them. For me it sits perfect. Just don't forget that your OEM dampers will have a shorter life.

Really like these wheels....look spot on with the car colour...

I'd say the front is spaced perfectly...8mm on the back is all you need  :congrats:

Thanks guys - with it sitting lower in really liking these wheels now. Think I'm gonna defo go 8mm rear and possibly 5mm on front.

Yesterday I surprised myself and did a DSG basic reset using VCDS - gearbox feels so much nicer now

Ok, today I managed to rub the front tyres going too fast through a road depression. I might need to remove the front arch liner screw. :fighting:

Iv had the retrimmed wingbacks and door cards in the car for a while but have been waiting for Del @ Optimus trimmers to have a chance to do the rear bench in the same Nappa.  I got a second hand rear leather bench from an R32 and dropped it off when I collected the wingbacks.  I asked Del to trim them with the remaining plaid I had in Nappa as per standard ED30 rear bench.......... he was going to do exactly as I asked but he said he had come up with an idea that would follow the lines of the red stitch the wingbacks had better.  After a few pics were sent with exactly what he meant I came to the conclusion that his OCD is worse than mine and he had a vision of how the rears would work with the wingbacks. Its hard to describe without seeing the ED30 front and rear seats next to each other but the red stitch does conform to a pattern front to back.  The wingbacks red stitch is in a very different position as they are completely different shape to the standard seats.

Anyhow, Del has sent me a teaser pic of the upper rear bench and I wanted to share......

There is something very different to these seats and its not the armrest, anyone see what it is??  :popcornsoda:

What's planned for the lower rear is mind blowing - credit to Del, he man is a genius  :notworthy:

Red stitch is different place but not the main difference. The picture you posted shows the difference perfectly  :happy2: @Shoduchi

Never carry anyone in the back anyway and I think this'll look the business. Not gonna be to everyone's taste but I think it'll look sweet
