will a mk5 golf 5dr front door be the same the 3dr version and fit straight on

In a word...no.


The doors on a three door are much longer to allow access to rear seats.

Same with any other model of car a door from a 5 door car will never fit the same model car in 3 door disguise, as said above the 3 door cars doors are longer.

the thing is i need bump strips for both my passenger and driver door (outside) but can only find 5dr verssion?

Yeah just try the usual places if you haven't tried yet such as eBay, breakers yards ect, shouldn't be too tricky to get your hands on some bump strips. Just keep searching  :happy2:
