....

Looking forward to your review, Steve.

Bodes well for the Forge as it has extra intake.

Based on what I learnt from being frazzled by science from Andy at ITG yesterday I would not 100% sure about the extra intake adding any benefit.

It would be good to see some logging data from the forge to compair  :happy2:

A few weeks, they have the main parts in stock for 25 kits, they just need to complete the bracket designs (to get rid of 2 of the clips) and the alu plated foam cowling.

A tuner up north will be getting a kit shortly to complete some before and after dyno testing too  :happy2:

Is that my up north or engurland up north?   please not awesome
It wont win any beauty comps will it, as jonny says all clips bits and thingy-my-bobs. Be good to see the final product.

i heard the sound this filter made on the REVO K1 youtube vid,  it lets you know when your not being economical with the accelerator, lol. Im set on the twintake though. even if its just for the looks just as much as power gains

....That's exactly it and I think that some manufacturers miss a trick - Most, not all I grant you, customers want some eye-candy with their performance parts.

The ITG might deliver great results, but

That aluminium 'wall' does not sound promising.

From all the intakes i have tested the ITG system has yielded the best results,

Yes robin it may not be aesthetically pleasing at the moment..... but that's the whole point in hardware development it's not going to be pretty but things need to be tested before final designs can be confirmed and cleaned up, these are real world performance parts not eye candy (yet anyway) and everything has to be tested and confirmed to yield the desired result.

The whole point of this product is it needs to work 100% on all given applications and in some cases if function has to take priority over form, well that's fine with me and I’m sure there's many that will agree

:happy2: , for that to stand though we'd need to know which ones youve tested  which you prob dont want to say (and I understand why)

I also like to know what parameters you  use to qualify as best ?
Cost / fitting ease / quality of product / power gains (mid range or top end) / noise / heat soak issues ?

from my perspective I would be choosing between this and another 'new' intake (it has twin entries ) , so I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

appreciate any feedback  :happy2:

That looks good (in terms of performance gains) i much prefer this idea of 1 big filter rather than 2 really really small filters... i cant help but think there going on the gimmick that it has 2 filters and people thinking it must be better!

saying that tho, i would have liked to see the original air feed being used too

nothing to do with a certain new tuner in the market is it

i will look at both of the new options coming out, be good to see some in car vid's with noise and some logging of both airflow and also air flow temp and then of course how much they both will cost.

....Yes, I'm pre-judging it and offering comment on what is presented to me at this time.

As a designer, I know that eventually a primarily functional item can have its form improved. This, I now realise and hope, is still a prototype.

ITG have an excellent reputation (I use their filter) and the proof of any pudding will be in the eating.

:happy2: 8) :happy2:

....The aftermarket intake market is a tricky one for manufacturers - Customers demand a number of considerations to ALL be satisfied.

Not in order of priority : -

- Performance gains, 'scientifically' backed up.

- Sound (or noise, if you prefer).

- Appearance or eye-candy.

- Compatibility with other components.

- Cost.

- Customer service and aftersales support.

I quite like the look of that intake as it is  :ashamed:

I think it looks purposefull, i dont like the look of the forge twin filter i think it looks a bit silly, although as others have said its about how they perform that matters...
