Head unit code

Hi guys...

I want to fit my standard headunit back into my Golf but iv look & I don't have the radio code...

How do I go about sorting this out...

Technically the can network should recognise it and not ask for a code.

If it isn't automatically recognised again by your car, then take the H.U. To your local dealership and they will give you the code free of charge!

Just make sure you take the log book of your vehicle with you and some I.D. (I think it's to prove it wasn't stolen)

If the head unit is one you've bought after then theres services on eBay that do it for a small fee, you could also try finding a place near you that may decode it for you

This is correct as I refitted my old MFD2 last week and it never asked for a code! :smiley:

They charged me a tenner to get my code!  :fighting:
