Lads holiday - which destination?
« on: July 19, 2013, 12:51:58 pm »
Hi all,

Looking to get a lads holiday booked up for next year, if we don't book it now it'll never happen!

We are looking for somewhere with good nightlife, but don't want it to be on our doorstep, a 10 minute taxi ride away would be perfect. A nice beach and good local watersports are also essential. We like a good night out, but don't want to end up in the magaluf, aiya napa and kavos scene where it's extreme partying every single night, rough hotels and being surrounded by chavs.

Any suggestions on destination/resorts/hotels please?

Thanks  :happy2:

I am only a few weeks back from a US holiday, final destination was Vegas.

Everything you could ever want from a lads holiday is right there....sunshine, hot girls, bars, clubs, pool parties, gambling, strip clubs, firing range etc etc

You would spend an absolute fortune though being my only negative comment.

and Vegas and the rest of the USA is great only if you're over 21. Silly drinking age limits they have in place.

Vegas if your mates are all over 21 and not short of money. The nightclubs over there make London look cheap if you want a table etc

Spain's overpriced for what you get, tbh if they are on apprentice wages they will be on what between 12-24k depending on trade, you guys might just have to the cheap and cheerful self catering appts thing if nightlife is a must.

I'd stick to the Greek party islands or Cyprus if a good nightlife is a must.

Otherwise 2 weeks all inclusive in Cuba is dirt cheap, excursions are cheap etc, not sure of nightlife if you aren't near Havana though.

Maybe think about Malta. Decent nightlife and not many in the way of chav's.

12 euros for a bottle of water, 70 euros to get into the nightclubs in Ibiza.

Probably not the place someone on an apprentice wage will want to go!

Thanks for the suggestions, as an example the kind of thing I'm looking for, I've been on a family holiday to Zante before and I think it would work out well for a lads holiday too.

Me and 6 mates ate going back for the 3rd year in a row in September, its not as expensive as people say..most of the 'big' club nights are around €30-50 for artists like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren etc and the clubs really are breathtaking. Once you've been bitten by the bug, nowhere else compares in Europe for a clubbing/watersports/Chillout holiday!

Paying €520 for ten nights all inclusive, staying in San Antonio bay, 3 star.
