Help from avid photographers please regarding cameras.
« on: August 01, 2013, 05:59:39 pm »
Unrelated to golf (however I will take pictures of mines :D) but i am travelling to New York in October and looking to get some good photos.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which does take a not too bad photo however the battery is pants, I have considered an extra battery but I'm looking to get really nice landscape photos and the zoom to me seems poor.

Therefor I'm looking for a decent camera, willing to spend around £200 but the cheaper the better and was looking for suggestions from avid photographers on here as I see some good quality photos :D.

Any help is appreciated.

Have had a look at the guides but the suggestions are from around 2008 - 2009 so i would imagine quite a bit has changed lol.

Depends on what you're after. A nice compact to put in your pocket? A bridge camera?

Decent and cheap don't really go together.

Alternatively, look at buying one when you're there.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Not really bothered of what style, just something thats going to take a decent photo of the landscapes.  I've never done any sort of photography and as I said galaxy S4 (to me) takes quite a good photo however the zoom is pants.  Was thinking of buying in america as well.

Look at bridge cameras which have 20x zoom. Should suffice for your needs.
