Pressure washer - no hose

Basically i dont have a hose at the back of my house (rented) and i want to use a pressure washer from a water bucket/drum to wash the car.

How do i go about it?
What do i need to look for?
Do you know of any units that definitely do this?

Ive seen its possible but read mixed things online about whats capable of doing it. I want to spend around £100 on one, as there seems to be some fairly decent ones around that mark (karchers start at around £70)

Run a piece of hose from the power washer into the water butt. You can buy a special filter to put on the end sibit doesn't suck up anything which will break it.

As Rich said, just run a hose with a filter into a big enough bucket/container. The water doesnt need to be forced into the washer in order to produce the pressure, the motor in the washer does that for you.

Is there no cold water pipes running long the wall?
If so can your landlord not agree to allowing an external tap being fitted? All it takes is a tap, some pipe , a non return valve and a t piece (self cutting kits are crap).

There is no water feeds this side of the house and my yard isnt really large enough to put a water but in (although i maybe able to get away with it)

I just want to know what i need to be able to use a washer from a bucket, and if like said the washer pulls water into it then any washer will do?

You would need a length of hose long enough to run around the car with a universal attachment to your pressure washer. It will work fine from a bucket. I used this set-up last year when we had the hose pipe ban

Ok, so i purchased the Karcher k2 for £79.99 from Halfords. It works (barely) from a bucket, so i wouldnt recomend it. I went out and bought 25metre hose and a tap adapter, really not ideal as the hose has to run through my kitchen-lounge- dinning room-yard, to get to the car, but it works fantastically and im really chuffed i got it! Cheers again guys!

Probably an air lock, hose entry point too high. You need a proper water container with hose fitting really. Oh well, at least you decided to just run the hose. I'm lucky enough to have an outside tap.

The pressure was really pants from the bucket, i could p**s harder! But i am chuffed with it working through a hose, so at the end of the day i win anyway :)
