Thought i'd better introduce myself. I'm James and I live in Leicestershire (about 6 miles from R-Tech in Hinckley) although I work in Leicester. I'm 20 years old and I eat, sleep and breathe cars!
I've had a Mk4 2.3 V5 since January which I love to bits - it sounds fantastic! Unfortunately it's been horrendously unreliable so I have decided to get rid. You'd think it would have put me off!

I went up to VW Leicester today with the intention of having a look to see if they had any Mk5's so I could get a feel for them ... and then I somehow went and bought one!
It's a 2008 Mk5 GTI. It has the DSG box and 38k on the clock.
I'm not very familiar with the standard equipment but it has full leather and the 18" wheels (Monza?), Cruise control and it seems to have an iPhone type connector in the centre console.
It ticked all the boxes and more - I was looking for a DSG with up to 60k on the clock and 56 reg or newer. It has had the cambelt changed last year and I negotiated the DSG service to be done as I couldn't see it in the history.
