Slot into window channel. Then some little metal clips hold them up and of course the window holds them there when closed. Got them on my mk5 and missus mk4. Great quality. Apply some silcone grease to each end the where window goes up past them.

probably the leading brand in wind deflectors
i bought a set for my 4 dr lastweek but only gonna use front 2....they clip into the window channel and have a metal clip at either end to stop the window from being impeded when closing

big thumbs up for me

Fitted them to the golf over a year ago  used different sticky tape without the clips
Very pleased with them as they stop water running into the car . Also got rid of the Chinook which was forever following me down the M6 :signLOL:
 When the suns shining I leave the windows open about 5mm and you cant tell :happy2:

Also fitted them, vastly over rated
