DSG, absolutely love it. Always had manual but I've been converted with the Edition 30.

90% of the time I'm in manual mode though, always use the paddles.

Sorry to hijack your post but been thinking of a DSG for a while , test drove a scirocco R but I felt disconnected , as soon as I got back in my Leon Cupra again I was all smiles again , but I really want to line a DSG ,

One thing I would like to know from the DSG owners is how often do you use the paddles if at all ?

I use my paddles most days, far more enjoyment from driving it as a manual. Only time it is left in D is if im in traffic or motorway crusing, but even then on the overtake i use the paddle to drop a gear.
I do enjoy mine, but it did take time. A good few months and about 2.5k

Just test drove 1 this morning and must say I'm sold  love it the fact it's just effortless can keep your right foot flat and keep shifting thought it would be boring it would feel a bit life less disconnected from driving but no prefer it to manual best thing since slice bread lol

I find the DSG more 'engaging' than manual whilst using the paddles. Driving a manual is like a full body work out

This!

Recently got a regular GTI and loving the DSG, no issues with parking or three pointers either.

Swore when buying I wouldn't buy a dsg I'm a vw techy so knew what they were like, however when I grout my eddy dsg was the only one especially mapped up. Also do loads of track days and 1/4s feels great probably only use manual mode when I get egged on or overtaking other than that its awesome for not bothering to change gear all the time, plus left foot braking  :happy2:

Drive 95% of the time in manual. D is for slow moving traffic cues.

Mine now is remapped, which adds to the fun, slicker shifts and revs out to 7300rpm if you so wish..

Would never choose Manual if there was an option for a twin clutch car.

I've owned DSG cars for 7 years and still love it.
