Whats the engine specs?

It's the new 1.4 TFSI Cylinder deactivation unit, with 140bhp and 250nm torque.

When on a light throttle, it's switches to 2 cylinder mode (which to be honest apart from the warning on the dash, I can't tell when it does). It also has all the usual bluemotion tech i.e. stop / start and braking recuperation.

I checked the fuel economy last night on the computer (bearing in mind it only has 43 miles on it at the moment), and it was showing 53mpg (and the wife isn't exactly known for her light right foot), so pretty impressed so far.

I really like these , I confugured on on the VW site and it was about £19K I think , but it is a very nice motor. There was one this colour at the Autostadt when I was there. PS Thats deffo the PSB's best song
