Now I have your attention could I ask for some advice.
I fitted a P version ipod adapter to my RCD300 for my 4th Gen ipod but it says it wont charge it. Is there a generation of ipod that it will charge?

Thanks in advance

Fairly sure it's only the MDI kits that charge. But they only work on the newer versions of the vw head units. Like rcd310, rcd510 ect
MDI Armrest & Glovebox kits
MDI looms , iPod, USB & lightening Iphone 5 leads
Armrests, cloth and leather
Retro fit Armrest 6 CD changer/Ipod dock kits

I have that fitted to my car (think it was optional extra) and found it wouldn't charge my 3gs but would charge the ipod nano I had at the time. I found an adapter off egay which connected between the phone and the car's ipod lead and meant I could charge (albeit slowly).

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
