2008 GTi
« on: July 01, 2013, 12:56:18 pm »
I had previously looked at these cars before buying the 350z but fancied some RWD abuse for afew months so put this idea on the back burner. I was tossing up between an e46 m3 or one of these, very different cars but these were the two choices. While I still like and will probably own an m3, I couldn’t warrant throwing £10k into a 10 year old car with 50k or so on it. This came up and a good deal was struck for the 350z.

It’s a 2008 Golf GTi DSG
White
Heated Leather
Parking sensors
Auto lights and wipers
Auto dimming mirror
Ipod Connectivity
Anthracite 18” Monza’s with pilot sports
Full Service history, full MOT and full years warranty

Basically ticked all the boxes for me/

Decided that it needed lowered, so ordered a set of H&R springs from Procar. Myself and @SuitorMensware fitted them on Thursday, very happy with the results. Car handles so much better and looks great. Some photos after a clean;

Only real plans now are a Milltek, possibly a map and DSG map and a sat nav RCD 510 head unit.

Nice - same as mine . Bar I have Hids also and a revo map.

I had a miltek cat back resonated exhaust fitted last Saturday with the GT tips. It worked out 20 quid more than a stock VW one and comes with a lifetime guarantee as opposed to a 2 year on on a VW .
