Problem when idle?
« on: August 07, 2013, 07:59:02 pm »
Hi, I'm looking for a bit of help here, it's actually s3 related (8p)

The car was on a long drive from Glasgow to Aberdeen at the weekend and on arrival in Aberdeen the revs started acting strangely at low speeds and then when on idle.

The revs seem to range between anything from 1000 to 3000rpm on idle and they constantly go up and down between these.

The car has been plugged into vagcom and these fault codes appeared:
P057001
P1297
P2177001
P2279002
P0100004

I am now unsure what to do next to sort this, help would be greatly appreciated  :happy2:

Stuart.

Thanks for the help, we were thinking pcv as well, already checked maf and DV and they appear to be fine, it's being sent to a specialist tomorrow to hopefully be sorted.

Thanks  :happy2:
