I've got Autotech and I would struggle to recommend then. I had a WALK fitted at the same time so unable to comment on isolated handling improvements, but they squeak over bumps and it annoys me.

Apparently the earlier batch also had problems with the brackets snapping, tho my later one does not seem to have this problem.

I completely go against H&R and say Whiteline.
Not sure how the whiteline ARBs can rust as they are powdercoated and if you grease the bushes fine they make no noises at all. I didn't notice any.

They are the best bars and get forgotten about because they're the underdog brand name and "only 24mm" but there's more to ARBs than the width  :happy2: :happy2:

I got mine from DPM on my TDI and could not fault the bars or the service as per usual with Damian.

Only word of warning is those with JOM coilovers should not mix hard ARBs as you'll be snapping drop link brackets every 3-4 months .

The powdercoat is poor.  That's how they rust.

Which anti roll bar kit is best to buy
H&R and lovin it ;p
Honestly, we are likely to vote for the one we have...I myself haven't tried 5 or 6 different ones, but H&R was my own decision.

I have Autotech front and rear and will recommend the H&R ones Ron
Although the Autotech ones are very good arbs the bushings let it down as Alex says.
So one more for H&R  :happy2:

Over the top mod list ;o)

I've got whiteline front and rear and they do creak a bit, just need to keep them greased. They've not rusted (yet) and have had them for 1.5yrs. Did make a noticeable difference to the handling.

I'm not saying they're the best (they're the only after market ones I've tried) but they're good IMO

I think a definitive answer is hard to find.
I have H&R (26 front and 24 back) for more than 3 years and they are great. Before buying the ARBs I did some research and by reading other peoples reviews I found out that the H&R bars need no maintenance (no oiling required for the bushings) and that they were of great quality. Both things are true.
So, another vote for H&R!

They are called Anti Roll bars and they do just that, reduce roll. But they do a lot more than that, they completely change the handling balance of your car, on an already decent chassis like the Mk5 it can all but eliminate understeer and if you so desire you can have a very tail happy little hatchback!

Apparently the earlier batch also had problems with the brackets snapping, tho my later one does not seem to have this problem.

I had Autotech on my ED30 and had three brackets snap. They changed the design to 33% thicker brackets after several complaints and all was well after. Funnily enough mine didn't creak and worked well, but I too would struggle to recommend them over H&R or Eibach's.
Golf R gone.
