The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Not a fan of the tiles, but can see a huge amount of work going in.

I take you are using and electric disc wet tile cutter table thingy. You can spend hours cutting 0.5mm off each tile till perfect, best electrical tool I've ever bought......

Yeah I know what you mean. It's really tricky to get the "right" tiles.

Did loads today. Fitted the ceiling, extractor fan and LED down lights (new junction box and switch etc)... Well, I did half and then my parents finished it as I had to go to work.

Dad cracked on with more tiling too, which is looking great.

Sleep please.  :indifferent:

Last 2 lights in.... and IMO (of course) they look fantastic. Its quite hard to plan where to put the downlights but i think ive got it pretty much bang on.

The extractor fan housing is a bit bloody ugly... but so long as it works fine then i can live with it.

(Sorry about the facebook mangled photos!  :fighting: )

Can't see the second one Rich.

Do you have a pump somewhere or is that mains pressure?

Try that.... Utoob made it private.  :chicken:

Its mains pressure as we are on combi boiler.. but you can get pumped version for normal tank based systems.

These are the control boxes.  Hot and cold feeds into both.. and each has a "mixed" out which goes to either bath or shower. Clever sh*t

Rich, are you hoping to get this signed off? What is the min distance for a switched socket to water plumbing?

For anything its 300mm from sink or bath or 250mm from drain on a shower/wet room or at high level which iirc is above 2350mm high to be outside the zone. You can get away with a dry location if its boxed in or under the bath but needs to be accessible and protected from water ingress (depending on location).

Its taking shape really well rich, really do like that shower :happy2:

Edit: and as its a bathroom it either needs to be on a 30mA rcd/rcbo at the CCU or cross bonding needs to be carried out between all circuits in the bathroom.

But to be honest if your just refurbishing the bathroom and not having major work involving building control or having the works certificated no one will ever know or be bothered
