Help! Wiring gti seats to non gti
« on: August 14, 2013, 10:33:26 am »
Hi everyone.

Need some help. I bought some gti seats but the connectors under the seat have been cut off.

The first wire is brown and pink. This matches the colours on my cars current loom. Im assuming this is for seat occupancy sensor.

The second wire which I assume is for the airbag is brown blue and black. But the colours on my cars current loom is green white and brown.

Now I have 2 options.

1. Someone confirm which wire is which so I can solder them onto my current loom from my current seats. That way I have working seat airbags.

2. Make up a resistor loom to stop airbag light coming on. According to this guide. But im not sure if this is safe or not.

Could someone please advise.

Thanks

Raz

Ok so ive found this guide now which shows how to wire in gti seats to non gti. It's an American website.

Just hoping the wires are same from usa and uk looms.

Does anyone know if an airbag can deploy if these wires are wired incorrectly.

Made up the loom using 0.25w resistor and the lights have been cleared.
