Noob from Dorset!
« on: August 19, 2013, 01:52:51 pm »
Hey Guys,

I have been a 'lurker' for a little while but got my mk5 GTi a couple of weeks ago.
So just thought I would say hello :)

It is a just a standard jobby in tornado red.

Short term plans are:

New wheels - possible 18" Audi Rotors
Eibach sportline springs (can't go super low as use car for work everyday)
Rev D
CAI (whatever looks stock but sounds a bit fruitier)
Stainless cat back system
Remap (any decent places local to Dorset for this? I think APD have gone?)

:D

Hello :)

Cheers for warm welcome.
Is there not many people on here from the central south then?

Yeah go to VAS Works, ask for Paul, he'll sort you out, say Dom sent ya ;)

They were very helpful in taking my Edition 30 to Stage 2+, they are Revo dealers...

They are moving premises soon, but currently where APD were based, they're moving round the corner at the end of the month...  :drinking:

E30Dom ah nice - I was over wincanton way the other day for work.

Yeah I will head in to VAS worx once I have CAI and exhaust sorted. Do you have any idea how much they charge for Revo Stage 1 on standard 04 Mk V Gti?

Think it's set by Revo at £399 but confirm with them...

Hmm £400 is a lot of money - but with 20% off that makes it "justifiable" in my mind ha ha.

Only thing is I haven't done exhaust and CAI yet? Is it worth doing these before the remap? Because if so... I'm not going to get time before the discount ends :(

Could go stage1 (approx 290bhp) getting at 20% off price then pay the standard £50 to go stage 2 once your CAI and TBE is fitted :)
