TPS 06F 145 710 G £37.08

Turbo kicks in @ around 3K and it feels like it pulls a lot harder

I notice it more mainly because my old one had a split in it so sometimes it felt a bit sluggish as it was faulty and wasn't holding boost properly as it should. But now it feels much stronger

Very happy  :happy2:

COOL  :happy2:

Glad the new Rev G made a difference, be like having a mapped car but for only £38! I change mine every year to a new, minty fresh one. Treat it as a serviceable item (and you'll still be able to sell the year old G for £20).

If you haven't, I'd change the fuel filter too. VW also did a recall on the Coilpacks so check them or let the Stealers do it for you.

Yeah it was a massive improvement  as soon as I took her for a little back road blast to east grinsteaad I thought Jesus  :driver:

Is the fuel filter something I could do at home ? I had her in at Crawley VW in September for coil packs as she had a miss fire , I was told they installed the new revision. Also my warrenty covered this work too so happy days  :happy2:

Will I need to get my car mapped purity sharpies after I install the intake ? Or can it wait for a few weeks maybe January  :signLOL:

I'm getting her MOTD in December so I'll ask them to carry out a fuel filter change at the same time  :happy2:

£40 you can't argue with that if I'm honest

Hay J,

If your lucky the previous owner of your Eddy may have been an enthusiast known to change the Fuel Filter and hopefully it's been stamped. The Fuel filter is a non serviceable item on petrol cars according to VW, absolute codswallop if you ask me, its a filter, change it. I've never changed one myself, can be a faff and you may lose fuel if it goes Pete Tong!!

Part is about £25 and a good specialised will have it changed over in no time.

Fuel Filter change.......

And you can add an intake and all will be well, no need for a map or anything. Plenty of peeps run a CAI on a stock car just for the noise alone.

The guy is on the forum I've spoke him before  :happy2: had a issue with it loosing power under 1/4 of a tank turnt out to be a miss fire, resulting in the coil pack change  :signLOL: if I can remember his forum name I'll ask him.

I'd probably change it anyway as I like to be on top of everything before things start failing or start to function less than 100%. When I get her booked I'm for the mot I'll have it changed

Also, I was going to ask you what your honest opinion is on a catch can?
I been a bit wary about the pcv failure and just been reading through regals site from last nights order and stumbled across a regal catch can which they state 100% illuminates pcv failure and then a long description about gasses oil vapour etc.

I want a awesome running ed30 and only want what's best to get it to my ' vision ' performance and handling wise in the future

Hi all

I'm abit wary about cutting engine cover/maf housing so that my silicone hose will fit so what I am think is just cutting the engine cover to fit with the intake on. Rather than try to cut the maf housing so that it fits.
My question is will this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Golf-MK5-2-0-GTI-Air-Flow-Mass-Sensor-PartsForU1-/230886599008?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c1e9e960 fit my edition 30.
Obviously the turbo hose will go on one side and my intake will go the other?

Thanks

I  have just checked the PN online and this doesn't fit my car, can you actually buy a maf pipe for the edition 30 or is carefully cutting the engine cover, leaving the maf housing intact the only way for me?

How hard will it be to cut the engine cover and maf housing so that I get a nice fit for my reducer hose to fit into? Any one out there has done this and is local id appreciate your help but of course pictures will be brilliant as well

Thanks

Emailed forge about a maf pipe with sensor slot, hoping for a reply by the weeks out.

Today I brought a newsouth boost gauge, offset column pod, tubing kit, wiring kit, no buzz T piece connector and all the wiring connectors for a bargain price. I also Brought some goodies off a member on here so hopefully that will turn up by the weekend so I can fit it all in one go  :happy2:

I don't think the intake will be on until early next week  :sad1: but not he other hand I think I'm making good progress for now though with my choice of mods
