Why'd he put steelies on the front?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Yeah USP are hoping to get into the late 10's early next year. 8)

VWVortex have a thread dedicated to the top 1/4 miler's. There's quite a few in the 12's. :rolleye:

They do go for it in the USA though. Water and methanol mix, big turbo's, slicks, rear skinnys, stripped, everything :driver:
Golf R gone.

Now then mate.. So you come back to the dark side I see..   Sounds like you'll be going all balls out on the mods as usual then?
Make sure you keep us updated with pics of it all?
As for the the GTI Fest comp, you can count me in obviously..  :happy2: Think my 13.2 maybe at risk now with your modding fetish . Be good to see a comparison of mods against times though. Especially as you have exactly the same car with the DSG too..

Yeah, should be fun.. As much as everyone is scared of the DSG breaking when running high hp/tq there really hasn't been the failures to back it up.. So I think im going to see how I go really..

IMO looking after this gearbox and engine is really all in the mapping, smooth torque delivery and boost limits in the lower two gears for two reasons, it will extend the life of the clutches/box and its going to help with traction, an on-off type boost delivery with FWD in 1st or 2nd gear is going to just light the tyres up!

And huge boost in the higher gears will mean that you run the risk of bending a rod.. To be fair ill probably drop a set of beefy forged rod's in this car..

Really enjoying being back in a GTI actually, probably because I have been flat out modifying it over the last week, well.. Buying parts anyways!!

Yeah S3 was sold within a few hours of putting it up for sale, and was happy with what I got yeah  :happy2:

I think 12's this year at GTI International would be pretty good really, and 0-60 under 5 seconds.. Thats my target anyways  :happy2:
