Window Trim & Rubber Door Seals
« on: August 18, 2009, 01:39:17 pm »
Can anyone recommend a good product to use on rubber seals/trim to return the lustre and get rid of water marks left by washing the car?

Thank you.

Meg's trim detailer is a good one that's easily available in Halfords, and I like it! ;)

I've found gummi fledge a bit blotchy in my experience and doesn't seem to be any better that the likes of 303 protectant. The only difference is it's applicator which is more than anything, annoying!

Peanut butter!!!!

Well any nut oil. Never believed it either until I gave it a go.
No Golf anymore.
Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.

I use AutoGlym Vinyl and Rubber Care - http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/autoglym-vinyl-and-rubber-care-15-off.php?cPath=55&osCsid=a562132548c87002e6169e72dad4fd8b seems to do a good job and works on plastics too without giving too much of a shiny look, other bonus is its quite cheap.

I've AG B&V care a bit crap. Works okay initially but during the day, the effect goes.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
