Just drive around for about 10 mins.

Be aware sometimes mine on startup thinks im in Germany till it gets a signal from the satellites (but usually within 5 seconds it is back to wherever i am )

The speed thing works but is in km/h.

Are you using the speed reading in the TEST menu or are you looking at the Symbol on the map display??

It should be in MPH on the map display

Odd

It does MPH on mine

Have a play with it (the satnav dirty minded person  :P ) and see if it changes it?

Would be a good excuse for doing 50 in a 30 and 115 on the M'Way

Blame VW and sue them

Sorted  :congrats:

Can't see any differences yet lol
Although I do have the newer balance/fader options so it must have worked.

Don't you need to enable the hidden menu in VCDS now with the latest firmware?

Yes the hidden menu needs to be enabled in VCDS as follows.

1. Go to Navigation - 37
2. Click on Adaptation - 10
3. Type 50 into the channel box.
4. Change the value from 0 to 1
5. Click on test and press code
6. Exit out of VCDS.
7. Press <> and brightness to reboot the rns-510.
8. Then press setup for about 20 to 30 seconds to enable the secret menu (just keep your finger on it it will go from normal menu to radio then after about 10-15 secs to the hidden menu)

Basically you can vew info like map version software version etc. You can even see your digital speed (in KM/H) in one of the menu's but it's no different to what is displayed on the speedo
