Forgot to mention that ive got a mk6, does it matter? AwesomeGTi are going to ring me back tomorrow, they maybe able to do it. Its in manchester so only 10min drive, if they cant would you be able do it this wkend if your not busy Darren? I really appreiciate that pal

Sorry for seeing this late.

Im going to be near Bolton (Wigan actually) this weekend as im visiting folks.

I have VCDS aswell so can save you a bit of a trek

Ill be about Sunday and Monday

Wigan is like 15mins from mine pal, i was going to goto Leeds and see Darren but a friend put me onto a garage right by mine that are going to do it tomorrow for £25. If they can't do it though, he's unsure as to whether he can then i'd be made up if you could help bud  :notworthy:

Yes Darren, took Carl all of 10mins to sort. VW wanted my car for half a day at £75plus VAT per hour ha, Carls a top lad and cant thank him enough. Just need to update my firmware now without bricking my unit ha

Regards the firmware just Check the Seals and as long as they are intact you should be fine

Just like to confirm that rolling back my firmware has resolved my flat battery issue. At some stage i will update the CAN Gateway and update the firmware. But there definitely appears to be an incompatibility with the latest firmware and earlier CAN Gateways.

Just incase anyone is wondering I updated from original version A to the fw1100 (version B) and the this latest update to a version c and everything went well.
