Well here it is,

I was quite shocked to be honest. I do beleive I have some serious issues with the car, so do think its quite high.

Previously ive seen 380-390, so its spot on in that sense, but I was running water/meth injection today (although the map has not been modified to take advantage of this fully)

The graph shows the third and forth runs. The 1st and second were perhaps 360/370/380 (cant remember) so the third was the highest. To note: I reset the adaptations just before it went on the dyno.
For the forth run I switched off the water meth via a switch in the cockpit and ran straight away, this gave 372, so maybe this drop was directly due to no water meth. the graph is slightly different - higher in one place.

Whats people opnions on the runs today? Most were done in 3rd gear, but mine was done in 4th due to wheelspin.

PS: On the graph above (390hp) it was 332.3 whp. I thought thats odd as ive dynos ive run show above 350whp at that HP figure.

Here's my graph to compare. Also on Dyno Dynamics rollers.

Golf R gone.

You can really see the turbo lag in real terms.

Looks like you all had a great day out :happy2:

Would and could have been there, but it was just a little too far for me as a northern nancy :ashamed:

Anyway, thanks to DanGB for posting up his power run as it gives me a decent comparison for my Dyno dynamics run. Yes, I know comparing things like this is like comparing apples with bananas, but it is the nearest I'll probably get to comparing my K04 with a car with the Garrett GT2871R that I was going to fit.

Below is a graph combining the two runs and gives an indication of how the two turbo's compare.

Dan's is great up at the top of the rev range, but I don't think that I'd sacrifice the low end urge for the top end gain of Dan's car. This was one of my primary reasons for sticking with the K04.

At one point Around 3250rpm) the K04 is making around 100bhp more than the Garrett :surprised:

Golf R gone.

Why the hell would you run these cars in 3rd gear????

Thats what I was thinking, some of the cars were nearly jumping out of the dyno. Stage 1 s3 made 330hp or something like that, wonder if the added traction on the dyno gave that result or just because it was setup differently?

Some of the big german tuners, when dynoing haldex cars somehow disable the rear wheels and only run the front wheels of the car on the dyno

Hurdy,
can u do a comparison based on torque instead? Think that would be more interesting! :happy2:

was a great day big thanks to Oli for organising this, good to meet some old and new faces and quiet happy with the figures (especially torque) :happy2:

Thanks for organising Oli  :happy2:

Apparently the Revo DSG remap would have held on a bit longer and got a few more Hp (compared to my Giac map) happy with the numbers though.

Nice to see you boys again, Neil.

CupraK1 really needs to fit a pump, and im gutted my car is playing up and I couldnt get her on the rollers  :sad1:

Whats happened to CupraK1,s torque?

this is a strange one, car had a lot of errors, cleared them, and went on another dyno dynamics at power engineering 40 mins after this RR day and the car made over 350 but was skipping and launching off the dyno in 4th... as they didnt have enough something or other to strap it down! cant wait to get the damn fuel pump sorted :)
