And yes, great roads. Your Cupra was so much better on the brakes, for obvious reasons.

wish we had of all chatted more together, i would of let some of the seat haters drive the car and make up their minds then  :chicken:

Hurdy,
can u do a comparison based on torque instead? Think that would be more interesting! :happy2:

Here you go :happy2:

Shows a "little" difference between the torque and where it is accessible.

Golf R gone.

wow torque is not that much different at higher revs as i thought, yet dan's car makes 50 more bhp.

that difference below 4k rpm is monumental tho, and for everyday driveability, is i'd have to say just what you'd want.

Happily keep the £££'s in the pocket and spend it on fuel and track days rather than BT'ing a K04 car.

If it was a K03 car (like Dan's used to be, long time ago) then the GT28 is a worth while jump.

Cheers for doing the graph Mr H.

No problems. It didn't take too long to do :happy2:

What you have to remember is that when the cars are running full on Dan will be using revs from 5k upwards almost all the time and so the bottom half of the rev range where my car makes better figures is rather superfluous :happy2:

When pootling around town the K04 is much better, so it depends on how you want to make the power/torque and how often you use the key part of the rev range

that is true, hence Dan has gotten into track days a lot more since i first met him!

but the K04 still holds its own tho...not too shabby at all in fairness.

....

I just back home after driving a really long way home by having dinner with friends in Surrey on Saturday evening and Sunday lunch with friends in Hampshire.

It was a fabulous meet and I add yet a another big Thankyou to Oli for organising the day. Charlie(?) the dyno guy was really nice too. - Quite different from those AmD miseries, albeit a while ago.

The day started well with an excellent traditional English breakfast at The School Cafe  :notworthy:

I'll sort out a few pics for the pics thread.

I'd be very happy to go to SurreyRR again  :happy2: 8) :happy2:

....Exactly. Where you have your optimum power has to suit what kind if driveability you prefer. That's partly why I stayed with my K03 instead of upgrading to a K04 when my turbo needed replacing. The K04 cars go like sh!t off a shovel but the K03's just seem to sparkle a bit more lower down.

I'm glad to report that my bhp on SurreyRR's dyno was very close indeed as on JKM's.

I enjoyed meeting the Cupra boyz and an extra thankyou to Neil for letting me try out the Forge TWINtake - I shan't be cancelling my order!

Neo, you noticed that my steering feels a little heavier than some other GTI's - I think it may be influenced by the feedback from lighter wheels. Did I tell everyone about my new OZ wheels?

That must surely be a Health and Safety issue...
