Autobrite snow foam lance - what am i doing wrong?
« on: September 24, 2013, 09:50:30 pm »
As above, despite having the lance set full to minus i cannot seem to get a thick foam. Consequently it runs off quickly and doesn't lift any of the dirt etc. It even leaves water marks meaning I end up cleaning normally. What concentration do you guys use? I am using superfoam.   :drinking:

Use about  1 inch of foam mix with hot water and a splash of washing up liquid

Water pressure is the next thing. Are you using a good pressure washer!! If so sounds as if the foam mix is a duff

What effect would low pressure have? Might try using more mixture next time and/or use a different pressure washer.

Its the pressure that creates the foam it works on a venturi the higher the pressure the better the mix

When I use mine it will hold for three mins at least and leaves a clear surface when rinced

Do you clean it after every wash? I found that after two washes the gauze would clog up and the foam wouldn't foam up nicely. I usually soak it in warm water, squirt a bit of cillet bang in the holes and a rinse through

Could be an easy fix ,try running hot water through the lance to clean it as the metal gauge could be clogged up ..have to played about with the black knob adjuster + and - while pressing the pw gun ? If all fails it may need a new metal gauge ..
