Nice pics!

I have started to notice that they seem more common in R32s, than a GTi.

Was it an option for the Edition 30?

Is it even rarer to find an Edition 30 with the Recaros, Xenons and DSG?

Ideal spec, wife wants heated seats though, which I believe the Recaros are still able to do ... women

it was not an option for the Ed30, and only early GTIs had this as an option. by the time the R32 came along i believe the GTIs had lost it as an option.

Ed30 style half leather/tartan Recaros would be all kinds of cool

I have the tartan ones, and find them extremly comfortable. I think they are much more supportive than the standard seats, particularly around the shoulders.

There is a certain technique needed to get in and out of them alright!

They didn't come in my car, i was lucky enough to see them for sale on this site and snapped them up. Actually had them bought before i even had the GTI

If you find a set for sale, you'll need to part with a lot of cash to get them. Here's some leather R32 ones on Ebay ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Golf-R32-Leather-Recaro-Bucket-Seats-Audi-S3-Rs4-Gti-Tts-S5-R8-Rs6-A3-A4-/181200691485?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a3067211d

You did an amazing job of wrapping those Robin, I could barely wrap the steering wheel inserts on mine. :signLOL:
