Red top coil packs
« on: August 29, 2013, 08:18:13 pm »
Just replaced my spark plugs (standard) and upgraded my coil packs to red tops as my ed30 was suffering from a misfire when on boost. The misfire is gone but my engine warning light is still on. I have a cheap code reader and reset tool but no codes are coming up on it so cannot reset the light. Anyone experienced this before - do I need VAGCOM to clear? I can only assume the coils were on the way out when i bought it 6 months ago as it feels like its been remapped! Absolutely flys now. Any help re the engine light would be great.
Thank you
