RS4 needs a de-coke...do MK5's?
« on: August 31, 2013, 01:08:30 am »
I know the rs4 looses power due too them coking up in the inlets etc...
I know the inlet manifold on the mk5 may need doing but does anything else?

How do we go about doing it? Is there a spray? Or is it a dismantle parts Job?

I think any car with direct injection will coke up tbh.

I've seen pictures of Mk5 heads and they do coke up quite a bit! You could take the inlet manifold off and clean up the inlet ports, people use Seafoam on RS4's and it works proper well!

You could clean it then run water meth, that would keep it clean then!

The TFSI suffers from coked up valves. Some people have fitted catch cans to try to resolve it but it has been proven that they will still get coked up regardless  :sad1:

An Italian tune up wil help (google it)  :happy2:

Unless your willing to take the inlet manifold off and clean them by hand, there isn't much more you can do
