Bloody Nora thats like rocket science to me!

So even if I roll the arches, & stretch my tyres that still wont do?

Am I better off just trying to send them back?

Someone help, I might cry :(

X4

If your not into "scene" wheels then relace them with max 8.5" ET44. also 215-225 wide tyres will help against rubbing as apposed to the usual 240-255 on 8.5" wheels.

fronts will fit like  mercedes alphards with a 205/35

backs will poke 5mm more than mercedes alphards/3sdms with a 215/35

if thats too much stretch for you then try and get the backs of the wheels shaved down to around et40 and they will fit like 3sdms  :happy2:

then you can fit 215/225 /40

I have the balls to make this work if it's do-able? my question is, is it?

Im happy to roll arches & run stretch tyres etc

Is running this fitment doable?

I cant roll round with 5cm of poke surely? lol

9.5 et45 might catch on the inside no?

Why do you want wider rear wheels anyway.. It will look crap. On an m3 or a 911 fair enough but this is a golf!

8j et50 on mine and i think thats about the perfect fitment on a golf.

So its just the width that's the issue then? I.e if I got rid of the two wider wheels and stuck with et 35 8.5J all round that would work?

it would work.. but its not the best look on a golf IMO.

I have 8.5j et35 on my van and tried them on the golf and they poke out a bit too much IMO
