Second hand Milltek Downpipe...Yay or Nay?.
« on: September 03, 2013, 09:26:56 pm »
If anyones opinions will help its you lot!...

Been offered a milltek downpipe (sports Cat) for the Edition 30 at a very reasonable price, covered around 15k.

Basically is it gunna cause me problems in the future? I know how CATs can go wrong and there not cheap.

Anything to look for when buying second hand?

Is it worth paying a few hundred pounds more to get the new one?

Do milltek stand by warrantys with second owners?

Sorry for all the questions!

Will

IIRC Milltek offer a couple of years warrantee on Cats but lifetime on their cat back systems. Not sure about second owners but I can't see why not. Could be wrong, someone will be along to correct me if i'm wrong.

Personally Id have no problem buying a second hand Milltek, good systems. My last car had a full Milltek exhaust on it and it looked and sounded great, even as a Resonated system.

Cheers bud.

I've got the Non Res Cat back which sounds great just wanting the downpipe, but new price is abit steep!

No warranty for second owner on any of their products and only a limited warranty on cats as far as I know.

They don't often last long when put up for sale on here, so a lot of people must not be bothered by buying 2nd hand ones!

Pipewerx make some fantastic quality down pipe / cats that will mate with the OEM cat back. May be another option?  :happy2:
