My new GTD arrives (pre collection images)

I promised a while ago that I would post some images up when my new GTD arrived. Well it arrived this morning and I just popped up to the dealer to look at it. Not collecting for about a week (due to work commitments), but thought it rude not to post some photos, although most still have the transport sheets in place.

(note I posted this over on another forum (cough), so those of you that have viewed that thread - apologies for the duplication  :grin:)

And I've got Bridgestone's not Dunlop's  :smiley:

Totally in love with it and can't wait (sorry went a bit mad with the photos so apologies).............

What are the electrics going in to the spare wheel for?

Looks like some sort of bass speaker like the Audis Bose system?? You can just make out the DynAudio on the wheel cover

thanks guys, yep it's the sub-woofer mounted in the spare wheel, with a juicy 400w amp under the passenger seat, part of the specced Dynaudio package.

the sub sits on top of the spare wheel and uses it as a resonance chamber, so is screwed down from above by the big plastic nut. Obviously if you get a flat and need to remove the space saver spare, then the sub needs to be removed and the yellow connector is a quick release connector, for quick removal of the sub.

Looks good from here even though I'd have gone for the Grey personally  :happy2:
Interior is MEGA clean  :laugh:

Are they VW's updated Charlaston design or replacement?

Cheers guys. As to options, I added a few but the GTI / GTD is very well equipped as standard (as it should be for the price).

I added the following:

DSG Gearbox
Park Assist (was such a cheap option why not)
Discover Navigation Pro
Winter pack
High beam assist
Adaptive chassis control
Dynaudio sound pack
Reversing camera
Keyless entry with Start / Stop button

Standard features (over and above those you expect) are

Xenon headlights with static cornering function
Dual Zone climate control
18" Negaro Alloys
Radar guided cruise control with speed limiter and front emergency collision avoidance.
Parking sensors front and rear
Colour DIS display
Multifunction steering wheel
Adjustable height boot floor
Driver profile selection
Ambient lighting including the doors and handles.
Electrically folding wing mirrors with puddle lights.
Full Bluetooth connection
LED front fog lights

Looks nice. Not sure i could live with those wheels tho, they would be fu**** in no time.

What does TrA90% mean?

Sub in the sparewheel..... what the hell are they doing !!! whatever will they think of next!  :signLOL:
