Did you turn on the ignition while the dash was disassembled?

If all the wiring is correctly secured then you'll need someone with vcds to delete the error.

No ignition was off all the time. Dropped it at garage across from work to get it scanned

This very week i installed a dice to my mfd2, I stupidly turning on my ignition, momentarily forgetting i'd disconnected the airbag. No problem i thought, i've got a vagcom lead. Then I remembered I's sold it the week before. -(

Unplugging the airbag light above the radio can sometimes do it

Airbag de-activation warning lamp passenger side (k145)
Sporadic 009
Open or short to ground.
I might have dislodged the switch in the glove box that lets you turn it of or like the above post
Unplugging the airbag lamp on dash.
All sorted now though

Cheers sean
