This is a complete shot in the dark - Could it be that the beefed-up Neuspeed drop links transferred more stresses on the hollow ARB's? The VW oem droplinks possibly have more flex in them.

As I say, this is complete guesswork and anyway I would have expected Neuspeed to have thoroughly tested their combination.

Rightly or wrongly I now have much less confidence in Neuspeed's products and am glad I went for OZ instead of Neuspeed lightweight wheels.

In your shoes, Mat, I'd do exactly the same and take the opportunity to go for VWR ARB's.

surely awesome will help you out with it, as they are usually quite good when it comes to things like this,

Yes, Awesome are very helpful (Andy and Sarah are my favourites) - They were great in sorting out my KoniFSD problem but there's only so much they can do if a product fails as badly as this Neuspeed ARB has and the customer naturally loses confidence, not in Awesome, but in the product.

That's unreal!!

You can imagine something like that happening under extreme useage, but not at 30mph! :surprised:

I certainly hope you get it sorted soon and that it hasn't put you off hollow construction ARB's.

The Autotech ARB's are hollow construction too :scared:

will defo never buy hollow arbs again as after talking to  Mat at vwr he said they dont use the hollow type as they can break  :scared:  and you should get the solid type pure and simple. I had no idea these were hollow  :ashamed: and i just hope awesome sort it as i want my money back on them i think or i want it sorting out , will speak to andy tomorrow and see what he says

But originally the neuspeed ARB was to stiff for the std drop links, hence fitting the neuspeed drop links, which you would think would have been designed with the bar in mind. either way there has been a bad design somewhere.

Anybody know if the eibachs are solid or hollow.

Im glad this thread popped up, as i almost bought the neuspeed 27mm bar not long ago, so i would have 27mm front and rear.

....Their weight suggests they are solid but I don't actually know.

Update
been to awesome today and they were shocked to see what had happened and said they had never seen that before and judging by the looks of the bar think it's been a bad bar from day one ie a defect hence y the og droplinks started banging from only a few months on the car, we think that putting the neuspeed droplinks on has helped make the defect bar last longer than it would have. Awesome said please don't lose any confidence in the product as we will put u a new one on the car to replace this one and if I have any more problems no matter how small they will sort it, even if it's 2 years down the line.

I think it's the best thing to do ie give it a second chance

Good news, Mat :happy2:

Awesome are very good like that - They sorted my failed KoniFSD's after they were more than 3 years old.
